Strawberry Smoothie
The best thing about this recipe is the simplicity and the need for just one type of fruit. Our strawberry smoothie recipe is a healthy alternative to something like a McDonald's strawberry shake. Our version doesn't have added sugar and is balanced with both natural sugar (fructose) and added protein.
Makes two 16 oz glasses.
Add contents to blender jar in the following order:
- 2 cups soy milk (or dairy milk)
- full scoop of vanilla protein powder (1/8 cup)
- 8 large strawberries (preferably frozen)
- 4 cubes of ice
Blend until perfect consistency is achieved. One variation of this recipe is to blend all the ingredients until a uniform consistency is achieved and then add in two small strawberries and let it blend for a few seconds. This will leave a few delicious chunks in there which makes it more fun to eat.
