Lemon Smoothie
This recipe should taste like smooth iced lemons. A great alternative to the summer time lemonade tradition. Also a great way to use up lemons from your backyard if you live in a warm climate. Our lemon smoothie recipe is an excellent source of vitamin C and if you leave the skin on the lemon you'll be getting healthful phytonutrients not found in any other food.
Makes two 16 oz glasses.
Add contents to blender jar in the following order:
- 2 cups of soy milk (or dairy milk)
- 2 cups of low fat lemon flavored yogurt
- 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder (1/8 cup)
- 1 whole lemon
- 8 cubes of ice
Blend until perfect consistency is achieved.
